What comes to mind when you hear the words holiday season? Seeing friends and relatives – right? And you know what comes next – lots of picture-taking. If you’re not feeling the picture love right now, for whatever the reason, no worries. There’s still plenty of time for you to prepare to shine—and get radiant skin. Radiant skin is a priority here at Walk-In to Wellness, a premier, primary care walk-in clinic in Coral Springs. We have lots to share, to help you achieve this goal, in this guide: Three Tips to Get Glowing Skin This Holiday Season.
TIP 1: Watch What You Eat and Drink
There’s definitely a connection between nutrition and beautiful skin. They say that beauty starts from within, and what we put inside of our bodies will definitely reflect the outside. Your beautiful skin journey begins by eating certain foods, which can help your skin care routine.
● Good fats: fatty fish such as salmon and sardines (rich in antioxidants/omega-3 fatty acids
● Fruits with high water content: celery, cucumbers, watermelon
● Avocado: popular as a face mask due to its high healthy fat and antioxidant content
● Tomatoes: rich in lycopene – a potent antioxidant to protect skin from UV damage
● Vitamin C-rich fruits and vegetables: oranges, red peppers, strawberries, grapefruits – all
rich in vitamin C, which helps manage wrinkles
● Vitamin A-rich foods: Leafy greens. Vitamin A is an antioxidant and promotes healthy
skin cell turnover
● Dark Chocolate: contains antioxidants and vitamins
● Green Tea: improves elasticity
Also, remember to drink plenty of water and avoid lots of caffeine and excessive alcohol. And don’t forget to get plenty of sleep. A lack of sleep can show up on our skin, almost instantly.
TIP 2: Get Facials on a Regular Basis
Facials are one of the best ways to pamper or take care of our skin. Basically, there are three parts to a facial: cleanse, exfoliate, and nourish. There are a number of different facials on the market today, which you can tailor to your individual skincare needs.
Have You Tried the Vampire Facelift® or the Vampire Facial®?
One trending type of facial, the Vampire Facelift®, is also known as a vampire facial. It’s also called a PRP- platelet-rich plasma facial because it uses a sample of your own blood. During the procedure, blood is drawn from you and is then injected back into your face. The PRP Facial is said to stimulate the growth of collagen and healthy skin cells.
TIP 3: Consider Laser Skin Resurfacing to Help Your Skin Glow
Laser skin resurfacing, also called laser peel is a very popular procedure and is one of our specialties. It’s perfect for those who don’t want artificial fillers or injections to help improve the skin’s ability to be beautiful. The treatment reduces skin irregularities, such as blemishes or acne scars, and sun damage. The end result is a more youthful, vibrant – and yes – glowing skin.
